(oil up = markets up, 10 year yield down = markets up --- when yield goes up it means prices of bonds are down - think of it like "If I wrote an IOU for $100, you paid $95 for it, and then I sell it to someone else for $90, the person who bought it for $90 will be receiving a larger return than you when it eventually pays back $100" So when the 10 year yield goes up, it means that people are selling bonds (they are getting out of a safety asset) $$$ from the bond sales goes into equities

(oil up = markets up, 10 year yield up = markets up --- when yield goes up it means prices of bonds are down - think of it like "If I wrote an IOU for $100, you paid $95 for it, and then I sell it to someone else for $90, the person who bought it for $90 will be receiving a larger return than you when it eventually pays back $100 (their yield would be higher)" So when the 10 year yield goes up, it means that people are selling bonds (they are getting out of a safety asset) $$$ from the bond sales goes into equities

My strat even on my long term investments is to have a certain amount of cash (about 30k in my case) ready to buy into 5+% negative dips (lower the better), then when these investments reach the correction recovery point I sell them if I have not made that cash back by then from company (more often than not, I have made it back)
