The only reason I can see why you would want to buy BTC through a platform is for the protection from platform risk and government regulations for ring-fencing etc.

In my opinion, as I understand BTC, this DOES NOT mitigate these risks, but it will in the minds of boomer retail. If the retail market enters BTC though funds, then I think BTC is gonna start getting heavily institutionalized and its price directed like stocks, by big players, with 4chan traders getting the BOG treatment.
