The narrative if crypto ever become adopted will be how the toxicity of the internet toward women, poc and LGBT+ ppl, have excluding the above mention groups from investing in crypto pre-adoption.

If everything goes well, we are hopefully gonna see government finances crypto courses and trading sessions exclusively for women and minorities.

Unfortunately they are. Even the smart ones. Their mind is purely on consumption, they don't have the slightest idea of the power of investment and capital. I come from a family of 4 kids all raised quite similarly, in an austere traditional environment, of course my brother and I are the business minded ones and my sisters are meme socialists.

she’s right you know. crypto is exploiting the need of others to get rich quickly and escape wagering. everyone of you is taking advantage of a poor soul out there who bought is planning to buy your bag when you finally sell. the least you could do is to give back to society and donate some of your gains to a reputable charity organization. I suggest grants for women.

Ironically, crypto is actually not capitalist in the strict sense of exploiting human labor to extract surplus value. It doesn't generate wealth (it's zero sum), exploit human labor (it's fully automated), or have cash flows. It's a pyramid scheme in the sense that it relies on lots of people entering the market to claim a scarcer and scarcer resource at higher prices, for no reason other than believing they will also get rich. If crypto were actually used as intended--- as cash or in all the different dapps that exist--- the rising value from people flocking into the market would reflect an actual usefulness of these dapps and demand for those utilities. But it's not the case; everyone buys crypto because they believe it will go up in value, but don't know why.

Remember none of this is really about billionaires. When lefties say "tax the rich" they really mean "steal more from the upper middle class while the rich continue to be relatively unaffected since they keep their money in Aruba anyway"

When lefties """"""""""""""""""tax the rich""""""""""""""""""""""" they just depress the American middle class further by creating an effective wealth wall for income earners

The poor exist everywhere else. Capitalism doesn't "create an underclass", it "creates an upper class." What creates prosperity? Not what creates poverty. Our poor have massive TVs, are fat as fuck, nice shoes, and comfortable dwellings with running water, electricity, and a state subsidized police force. Most of the world does not have this, they live in ramshackle huts and poop in a bucket.

If you're making $200k per year you're looking at an effective 35-40% total taxes all considered you fucking moron. If that money could be mostly put in investments instead you'd be retiring 15 years earlier. You are a literal bug person that's been demoralized to the point of thinking it's your duty to sacrifice half of your life's earnings to the glorious "system" (owned by plutocrats) while subsidizing the existence of their welfare-dependent voters, working until you are old and broken. Roads, police, fire, basic services, basic safety nets, sure, take it, that should cost like 10% tops and it shouldn't have to come from income. That's literally taxing WORK. An absurd concept prior to this century.

Civilization is a shared social contract. The vast majority of American taxpayers don't reap the benefits of what they pay into. Most of it is either pissed away and wasted into a financial blackhole or goes to those who don't produce and keep spitting out kids. It's like all this talk of single-payer healthcare, I'd actually support it if every poor nigger, spic or redneck equally has their paycheck leeched in proportion to their wealth versus getting a free ride. But that won't happen because they are "victims" of life after all.

Not true for ethereum. You buy to have an exchange stake for you, and get 15% per year gains in a deflationary (EIP-1559) asset (which can be like 2x to 20x returns per year in USD value).

Ultimately, the revenue comes from transaction fees paid by people who want to margin trade, do trustless sports betting, etc without having to pay for the overhead that comes from centralized services trying to make as much profit as possible.

I think you're talking about the proof of concept legacy chain, bitcoin core? It doesn't apply to more contemporary crypto assets. Chainlink, for example, gains value by supplying trustless oracles.
