Yes, but only if you sell at a low strike. If you sell a $20 call for example on the Jan 15, 2021 expiry, if MARA closes below $20 on that date, your sold calls expire worthless and you keep all the premium. That’s why I always sell on the furthest OTM strike. First time I sold I bought the calls back with a 95% gain, but recently I’ve been buying them back after a 30-40% gain cause it is completely possible for MARA to hit $20 by Jan 15 if bitcoin had a major rally.
