If you're wanting to still bother with Ripple, I'd recommend waiting until Friday, which is the rumored date of when it may be delisted from various crypto exchanges. If the rumor is bullshit and it doesn't get delisted, buy a fair amount of it to have at hand in case if the SEC case pans out relatively okay, but not 75% of your money's worth- you'd probably rope yourself in the scenario that the SEC completely fucks over Ripple here.

I agree with this

Most alts dumped and they are better options than XRP and this is why:
- The FUD is real. Let me repeat... FEAR, UNCERTAINTY and DOUBT is 100% real and not an attempt for it. People are scared. The SEC is serious and unless you are a big insider.. you dont know whats going to happen. Regardless of the scenario, people wont risk buying this due to this.

- It has been almost 2 days and there has not been any symptom of recovering. No V shape. All people who bought higher would want to recover their losses and keep the price low.

- Speculators, XRP schizos , gamblers and casual traders could trade this but NOT institutions. VC capital treat this as a HIGH RISK HIGH REWARD funding and they wont put their money until the case is resolved

I believe XRP wont die. They have a use case, and most likely they are just going to get a small fine and easily pay. But the DAMAGE is already done.

IN all seriousness, just buy dips and you will be better in this game than anything else.

Isn't high risk high reward the point of VC though?

I never had XRP bags precisely due to the "centralization" part. So I am not in a position to say it will go up or down. I just dont know and I dont think any normal speculator can for sure.

I dont agree that they would 100% get wrecked by the government. Check the KIK case, it was exactly the similar demand, at the end, SEC just fined them, KIK paid, their price recover and no big deal.

I believe this is the most likely scenario. The reason and this is my OPINION... is that Ripple is technically NOT a security, it is a cryptocurrency. What the SEC is demanding is not this issue, but the fact that the owners "sold it as securities". So the demand is pretty straightforward to the company owners, not really the technicality of the crypto coin. So they are probably just gonna get fined.

Yes, but they wont get in if there is a SEC demand. Although VC cares about XRP and has done their investigation, it doesnt really matter much. They just distribute money in the whole crypto market.

why do people keep clinging to this? that's not even the problem. the SEC complaint shows ODL volume was manufactured and banks are not using it. the product cannot live up to its use case. case closed. it's done dude. the SEC has only confirmed what the new york times and everyone else suspected a long time ago.

You have nothing to fear friend. The SEC have shot themselves in the foot fire to them having already allowed the partnership of moneygram and Ripple in the past.
The SEC is also a government program and the US government has already claimed that XRP is a currency.
The lawyers at Ripple have already announced that they're ready to win this case with no problem.
We'll ride this rocket straight to Mars.
