Don't feel bad anon I mined for a while in 2010 and didn't think those 1732 coins would every be worth shit so I never bothered with backing up my wallet and formatted my HDD so I could make room to fucking install a worthless game. Needless to say when I think about it, it's almost instantly enraging and depressing at the same time.

Any block chains that use both proof of stake and proof of work are inherently more secure. There's a few of them.

I don't trust XRP. Crypto should be inherently anti authoritarian and decentralized. Crypto can never be at peace with government entities, Any anonymity coin (except monero) should be purchased- though Z-cash still has problems its still better than nothing

I wanted to fuck around with bitcoin and vps's in the early days...so I bought about 50 btc for around $2-3 each. I blew 30 btc for 3 months of webhosting that I never did a single thing with except install apache.
the other 20btc i blew playing poker on whatever that sealswithbitcoin or whatever site.

I pretty much no longer care. Though every so often, I think if bitcoin becomes worth $1M that I'll cry a little....

You're entitled to your opinion. Monero is more dedicated to uncompromising anonymity but the fundamentals of Z cash are stronger. I'm leery about monero because so many holes have been found. As an extremely paranoid person I just think new holes will be found. Any future anonymity coin that is as uncompromising about anonymity on both on the network and coin level AND based on zero knowledge proofs would be ideal.

I used to be a script kiddie in highschool in 2009 and had a shit ton of ccs, so I did what a retard kid would do and bought stuff with it, grandpa was a cop, first phone arrived, cops talked to grandpa, I returned the phone, then started spending all those CCs on internet money shit: wow private server gear, various reputation on random forums, etc... So naturally I found bitcoin in 2010 and bought a shit ton, as in shit ton, literally gave forum members hundreds of $ in reputation points and they asked for my bitcoin address so they can send me thousands of bitcoins, but I was too lazy to even generate an address for meme money.
Only found crypto in nov 2017 and bought a shit ton of linkies, now 50k link 1m grt, so I'll make it either way, but if I made a wallet back then and kept the btc and somehow didn't sell them and didn't lose the private key I'd have hundreds of millions of $ today.
