The narrative that Bitcoin will serve as the new store of value is being hammered into peoples skulls with QE, which doesn't seem to have any end in sight. You could ask the same question about why real estate and stocks are at ATH's during a recession.

Bitcoin makes a lot more sense as an investment however, as stocks and real estate are being used as stores of value, whereas Bitcoin is store of value defined. It's also better than gold, and will obviously be the new store of value for Millenials and future generations (Millenials hold 5% of the wealth today. 5 fucking percent!), Bitcoin is simply adjusting its market cap (remember the price of a Bitcoin is irrelevant) relative to Gold (gold is worth 25x more today). Oh yeah, and institutions are buying in. Oh yeah, and bonds are close to zero or negative.
