Brainlet here. I need to learn how to better judge a company and preform better DD. I've been reading on investopedia but I'd like to hear your thoughts on the metrics you choose a company by. Or any tips you have about which things you don't let bother you with a stock or things you absolutely stay away from.

If above I’m happy with
I gage sentiment on /smg/, Seekingalpha and Stocktwits, if they’re brought up a few times by different shills, I go all in.
If I’m playing the options game, I look for when earnings are and often buy contracts for just prior to earnings when IV is highest.
I’m too much of a brainlet to understand meme lines.

Yeah I would stop averaging in by that point. I'm invested heavily in them but the strategy for them isn't locking all your cash in them. I have stuff like MARA doing hyper moves so I still have portfolio action going on. Put what you don't mind being kept dormant in. Remember that when they move, they'll move hard, so it's a case of time in > timing. Park what you don't mind parking in them. Shave off if you feel you're too invested and you're getting value decay via opportunity costs, but psychedelic stocks are prime for a boom. We already saw about a month ago how hard and fast they rally when they do.

Maybe I'm just more patient than others cause I hold WKHS which moves similarly. Hype the fuck up megamoon period and then crash down to floor where it crabs again. But eventually it'll break the ceiling, and when it does you'll regret not holding some from ground level.

At the end of the day, don't kill your portfolio for it bro. Balance accordingly. Having half of your portfolio crab at a loss IS a bad position to be in, but the shroom stocks themselves will be fine long term. During this bullish market, you want to have an active flow of other picks doing the heavy lifting while psychedelics are still hibernating.

Hmm, while I think his argument is a bit extreme, I don't think that's a fair comparison. Legal dispensaries cost what they do because states tax the hell out of them or require absurd licenses to sell legally. I used to go to Curaleaf but I absolutely could not justify how much I was spending. Part of the reason they can get away with it is the convenience of just going down to the store and picking up some weed, but the lack of other LEGAL options is what really keeps the price up. If, hypothetically, it was legal to grow and sell your own without expensive state licenses and such I'd say the price would be significantly lower.

But seriously fuck spending $75 for a cart at Curaleaf. I can't believe I did that a few times. I guess it was nice for feeling like what I was getting was "legitimate" and therefore had more scrutiny in its cultivation but it really isn't worth at those prices.

December Operational Update

Argo, the leading cryptocurrency miner based in the UK (LSE: ARB), is pleased to provide the following operational update for December.

During the month of December, Argo mined 96 Bitcoin or Bitcoin Equivalent (BTC) compared to 115 Bitcoin Equivalent in November. This takes the total amount of BTC mined year-to-date to 2,465 BTC.

Based on daily foreign exchange rates and cryptocurrency prices during the month, mining revenue in December amounted to £1.63 million (November 2020: £1.48 million). Argo generated this income at an average monthly mining margin of approximately 60% for the month of December (November 2020: 57%).

At the end of December, the company held 209 BTC in Bitcoin and BTC equivalents, in accordance with the Company's asset management strategy. Argo's total mining capacity is 16,000 machines and 645 petahash (SHA-256) in addition to 280 Megasols of equihash mining capacity.

The Company's equipment leasing agreement with Celsius Network, which is set to deliver 4,500 Bitmain Antminer S19 and S19 pro miners, is on schedule. The machines are expected to be fully operational by February 2021 and will add approximately 430 petahash to the Company's installed computing power.
