When do you know it is time to quit your job and potentially just focus on managing your portfolio full time? I have a small side gig I do at home that takes care of rent and other monthly expenses. At this point I am just working to have more to invest but I have hit the point where my 3 month returns on stonks equal about 7-8 months of me working. I'm not even including crip-toe but poorfolio is somewhere in the 200k range right now with this BTC run.

Should I do it anons? Monthly expenses are covered by my side gig. The job only contributes 5k/mo pre tax... Seems like pennies at this point and maybe my energy can be better spent elsewhere. For those that have made the transition, how did you know when it was time? Or how do you get over the wagie addiction of safe/guaranteed income?

If there's a small chance you can better use your time - even if it's just hobbies or being more relaxed - I'd say go for it. More than that, if you can focus on daytrading or your business and make even more money all the better.

I'm super self directed/motivated and that's kinda where I'm at. It would be a huge quality of life improvement for a relatively small change in income at this point. And like you said, more time dedicated to research and growing the portfolio could probably offset and loss of wages.
