If you're going to pay 100k to stake 200-800 LINK, what's the APY you're expecting?

1LP is paying aproximately 6 Links every two weeks. Staking is not even live. Keep in mind they will offer Ethereum 2.0 staking and other services so you better fill your bags or regret it forever.

without staking and limited network usage in defi, the top distribution was ~10 link/LP; which is equal to 260 link per year. I would expect an increase to ~1000 link, when they open the gates of staking ... and if you stake your links, then the rewards may be around a total of 1000-1500 link per year for 1 LP, which is around 30-35k per year for 1 LP, if link is $20 or 75k if link is $50 and so on.

yeah it was 6 I think not 10, so ~50k return per LP

If we make the math with current Link and LP price, you are getting a 3% of your investment if the rewards keep steady during the year. But Link price and LP rewards will moon once Link and ethereum staking are live. So yes, Linkpool is extremely undervalued right now. And on top of that they are going to tokenize the shares this year. Buy as much as you can or be priced out forever

Problem is, staking would cause Link to moon so you'd get a lot less tokens even if LP's profits skyrocket.

>> No.26187284

Seriously tho will LP be the main way for non technical peeps to stake? Surely others will arise?

you are right, but I am also not sure about what Sergey will do, because he has Link not USD and he will pay in Link

If you had to would you sell enough LINK to equalize the LP/LINK staking ratio, or sell BTC or ETH instead?

>> No.26187406

Did someone from Germany try to find out what happens to your stack tax free holding time when you use it to stake?
I don't want the holding time to increase to 10 years because of a law to prevent tax optimization of container loaning...

>> No.26187498

>>26187356
I would sell the ETH and BTC. Link has a much bigger upside potential and huge news coming soon (new white paper, ts, arbitrum going live and God knows what else). Also from a pure TA standpoint just check BTC/Link and ETH/Link pairs on the monthly, it's extremely oversold in both. But I'm a Link maximalist so take everything I say with a ton of salt.

>> No.26187945

how much total of link can they allow for staking in the first year? 800x4000 for linkpool (3.2 million link max staked in LP), and with others say the number is 15 million link in the first year? and can they limit the number of links staked in other nodes?, but even if it is 30 million staked links, Sergey can bear 100% APY in links?
