I don't understand cryptocurrency, stocks, "crypto mining", literally anything to do with business and finance. But a lot of you people leak onto other boards and they way you talk you make it sound like it's literally as easy as buying $1000 of some stock or coin or something and it just turns into a million dollars after a day or a year ezpz zero effort "anyone can do it" as I so often get told. Can somebody clear these things up for me? This just seems way too good to be true, a scam, a troll or all three.

You buy something, a stock, a crypto, gold, whatever you think will go up. If it goes up and you sell you make a profit. If it goes down you lose money. Crypto is high risk / high reward compared to stocks, lots of disruptive tech but also unproven. Difficult thing is discerning good opportunities from bad ones, also not being a weak hand with no conviction who will trade emotionally (fomo and buy high then panic sell low, thus losing money). If you want to make it you'll need to lurk here, look at the charts, check coingecko, read about the tech, etc.
You will invariably get burnt, but that is part of the learning process. If you stick with it, this market offers the opportunity to make a lot of money. Good luck
