Scenario A: Allow hedge funds to cover, go bankrupt, and need to liquidate causing a huge sell of in the stock market. My non-meme stocks have already been down 10%~ due to closing some positions. Imagine 20-30% of the stock market.
Scenario B: Government bails them out triggering Brazil level inflation.
Scenario C: They pressure hedge funds to halt trading, scare investors, media blackouts, forums banned, stock market crashes or remains reasonable as they clear out their short portions at ~$300. Illegal stock market manipulation, but no one ever goes to jail for white collar crimes.
