I had some money on Dutch Avantium (AVTX) and those niggers announced that they haven't been able to validate the financing to build their new factory. They postponed the announcement to March. I don't even speak Dutch, but yesterday the stock dropped 8% at opening and I searched google news and found Dutch and Italian articles, and I can barely understand Italian, so that's how I got the info. Immediately sold at a 4% loss. Then stupid faggots immediately jumped on the "dip".
I mean, this a green tech company with government grants, but this whole story of "we'll let you know in March if will build our factory, ok?" just smells. If they fail to build the factory the stock goes to fucking zero. Find a stock on 4chan or leddit that will probably have a catalyst in 1-3 weeks
The three outcomes should be:
- If the catalyst happens, it should be at least +50% price change (extremely good earnings, FDA approval, big announcement
- If the catalyst doesn't actually happen (e.g. merger delayed), it should just crab
- If the catalyst is negative (failed product demo for example), it should only mean -20% on the price

Always sell right after the catalyst or delay (unless the delay is like 2 weeks).

If you can judge the chance of the catalyst right, you will be up statistically. I usually hold 2-3 of these at once, so they average well, and possibly cancel larger market movements.

Example:
I've read about AUPH on 01.22 in a leddit post. They had extremely successful Phase 2, so it was 99% chance that they wiull get FDA approval. This was not priced in, as usually people assume it's always 50-50.
