Let's discuss LTOs tokenomics. Is it actually a sleeping giant or is it doomed to fail?

LTO can be leased to nodes to secure the network, since it uses LPoS consensus, and the nodes get to vote on proposals on network changes. Currently, 129 million out of 273 million circulating is being staked.

Aside from security and governance, it's also a utility token. Each transaction burns 0.1 LTO and pays 0.25 LTO to stakers.

At a tx/day of over 100k, which is the current average, that's a staking return of ~7% APY, and a burn rate of ~1.5% annually. None of the staking return is inflationary or coming from a pre-allocated pool, it comes entirely from the clients transactions.

So obviously the success of this coin relies on the success of the network. It has been growing at a substantial rate, transactions are up 7x from a year ago (https://www.ltonod.es/network)) and it's currently a top 10 most used networks (https://coinstats.network)

Right now, there are big clients currently using the network to "anchor" their private B2B workflow, meaning a hash of the final state is secured trustlessly on the public network as proof of document validity.

With the recent acquisition of VIDT, who just announced more clients, and partnership with UN, who is recruiting nations to anchor their Land Registry into the network, many more transactions are expected to onboard soon.

So to me, I think the tokenomics are incredibly unique and successful. If clients keep onboarding, there's no way this price isn't going to exploded eventually, as more of the supply moves from clients to stakers.

Thoughts?

You said it, if they can keep growing adoption this should do very well, the token economics make sense

>> No.27368282

It went up by 100k in one year.
I think it will increase exponentially as LTO becomes more established and more clients want to join in.
>tokenomics are incredibly unique and successful.
Agree

I don't see how it's doomed to fail, it is reliant on the team, but they're doing great so far.
Interested to see how big the decentralized ID and kyc for business defi thing will be. They say there is demand for it.

My only concern right now is the fact that it doesn't bring anything to the table for crypto users, like we see with DeFi.

Once the average crypto Joe can use LTO Network to participate in the cryptosphere, I think it will really take off.

So yeah, the DIDs and SSIs are essential in that regard. Are there any competitors in that use-case?

Also binance LTO wallet is down at 52.5 now,
accumulation is still happening and no one is selling.

haters are gonna hate.. i'm all in VIDT-DATALINK... got in at 6c and currently sitting comfy with a 50K stack.. VIDT is going to outperform LTO.. mark my words.

LTO uses a different kind of smart contract, a live contract.
This allows for business users like an IT admin or a secretary to directly deliver input to the blockchain.
It's quite unique and perfectly suited for real life use.
>blockchain made easy for HR stacies and business boomers
But it's still aimed at corpo world and gov bodies.
The holders just benefit from staking and leasing rewards, they don't use the LTO services.

The decentralized ID is for enterprise defi associations as far as I understand, perhaps more use cases than that.
Competitors for that are apparently ONT(468 mil mcap) and sovrin (not released yet).

Currently VIDTs transactions are bundled on LTO network, it should switch to 1 VIDT tx = 1 tx on LTO network.

I don't know how investors are supposed to be advised which one to buy.
They share clients and success and from 2022 joint roadmap.
I'm more comfy in LTO as they are the acquirers, bigger

Its a great project. I see the market cap being 5-10 billion in about 5 years. It's not going to be quick, but it'll be the best project in the future because it makes blockchain technology usable for all corporations and governments.

Yeah, I initially held a small amount as a moonshot. But the more I heard about the future clients and the more I saw consistent growth, I kept accumulating and it grew to 75% of my portfolio.

Easily the comfiest hold I have, too. Bear market or not, clients will be transaction and we will can just passively increase our stacks.
100k tx/7% APY is the floor, no doubt to me that it will be double that some point this year

All I got to do is sit on my ass, buy and lease LTO
Let clients:
>Buy LTO for the services
>Transact LTO, fees from clients fund entire rewards at around 6-7%
>Burn the supply slowly, 0.1 token burn every tx
