Eth2 is not coming for at least one more year, and that's assuming the docking won't be a complete failure or delayed. Even if it succeed, it won't able to scale as much as avax on nakamoto consensus (unless recursive snark, but this is still a research field).

>Eth2 is not coming for at least one more year
Eth2 is already being launched as of December 2020 and when they launch phase 1.5 it will literally nullify gas fees and make transactions confirm in just a few seconds. Even if it takes a year, people will not just switch from Eth to AVAX during this time period, just so they can switch back after a year. Gas fees are rough but I don't even think you believe this can replace Eth.

Eth has been long awaiting it's moon, and with eth2 launching this year it's only right it happens sooner rather than later.

Sorry for the ambiguous wording. This isn't what I meant.
>>27634600
There is no such thing as fidelity in the crypto world when switching between coins is so easy. This isn't like fiat where people are pressured to stay contractually locked within a bunch of banks. Developers who won't adopt the most efficient technologies will be left behind and abandoned in favor the better tech. In the end, nobody wants to lose their bag.
The risk/rewards ratio of staying on ethereum is high because of its already inflated mcap, while avax is pretty much here to grow for a long time until everyone realize this and embrace the flip.
