The pic looks nice, but in reality it's not all like that. You have to rotate crops and rest soil to keep it fertile. You'd also want to use different plants in summer and winter. For example you can grow tomatoes in the summer and then replace them with lettuce and cabbage in the winter (you'd also need a hothouse for this). This way you can constantly produce. You can also combine orchards with strawberries, since they don't need all that much sunlight. But then again it all depends on climate. Oh and hydroponics might be a viable option. Don't forget to only buy land with water on it. If there's no water you're fucked.

Everyone wanted that quick and easy payday from panning a river. Panning a river and mining the Earth are two entirely different ballgames. It's objectively correct to do what Durrett says and analyse what cash flow will be at x price of silver and 10x or 30x cash flow valuation.
