No. Literally steal all they can. For example my 9 to 5 pays me 32k a year. This is taxed at 20pc. If it paid me over 35k a year then I am taxed at 20pc to the 35k and then anything I earn over 35k is taxed at 40%. You can imagine how you feel cheated when you bring in yearly profit from crypto on top of your wages.

Short term gains are taxed as income, capped at 40% at 500k.
Long term, more than a year, is capped at 20%.

One of the two biggest advantages of living in eastern Europe. Small gains are enough to make me rich here and I don't have to pay taxes.

But if you look at the upside from all that tax. Welfare is 203€ a week if you lose a job. You also have housing assistance payments. Single parent payments. Children's allowance. State pensions. Right now I am on something called pandemic unemployment payment which pays €350 a week because I am out of work thanks to covid19. Downside is that a lot of people cheat the system and easily get away with it. Welfare? People are on it and working but being paid cash under the table. Housing assistance? Whole families working cash under the table jobs. Same with pandemic payments. Then you have people on welfare who just wont work and dont want to work.

>> No.28387907

That's all well and good until you remember how little a company like Facebook or Amazon pays the government here.

>> No.28387983

>>28387776
Jesus to think people who work get taxed liked that. Idk just seems unfair. Welfare needs to be abolished. Just use a negative income tax. I would be much happier to pay that, instead of the black hole that is the welfare state.

No, it's about 47.89%

The retarded government here went to European court to prove that Apple didnt owe them 14bn in taxes. So not only did they miss out on 14bn they cost the taxpayer even more to go to court. Mind boggles.

So where is good to trade crypto from where I wont be stung and bent over like this?

>> No.28389272

>>28387776

but I don't wanna pay for any of that shit. Sink or swim. Laissez-faire. Welfare just enables poor decisions and encourages moochers and gibs.

>> No.28390285

It's taxed as regular income, up to a point - $40k if single, $80k if married
And THEN you worry about the punishing long/short term capital gains taxes - but only if you cash out
If you cash out enough money to buy a Lamborghini, you are going to get raped by the government
If you live like a pauper, you pay very little

They bring so much unemployment you can't rock the boat that way. Everyone is aware our only appeal is the low corporate tax rate, if they upped and left it would fuck us up

I remember in school they actually tried to tell us they come here because the Irish people are "technically-gifted" and "intellectual" in a way other countries aren't lol
