You don’t. You trade multiple charts at once for the full picture. My setup is four panel underlying specific different timeframes and indicators plus a four panel market internals showing breadth, divergence, ticks and the SPX 15 minute.

Market internals are important to know if you are trading something with decent correlations.

I find it works fairly well for finding short term ceilings and floors. Outside of that I prefer to have it going in the background so I can keep and eye on price action without being a 1 minute fag.

It’s helpful sure but does by no mean guarantee success. I trade on my phone or iPad sometimes without all that but I always make sure to do what you said amd look at different timeframes.

Something might look great in a 5day 15min chart and then like death on a 10day 1hr chart then like a sure thing on the 4hr one month and like it’s gonna crash and second on a weekly lifetime chart.


I think we can all agree it’s not easy.
