Basic Attention Token rewards you for browsing the internet through the Brave browser and clicking on ads
BAT was made by the person who literally invented Javascript coding and helped cofound Mozilla Firefox
He is also redpilled and based, no masks for him
I think that this is a good crypto project with real world value

>> No.28863482

yes and extreme dillution which will never bring it to over $1. I was holding this shit too since the project is great but the bags not so much

It is a great project. It is undervalued as fuck. But i think people are just missing how big of a market ads are. BAT could make ads less fucking cunty.

If it poomps from .5 to around a dollar, I'd be satisfied.

>>28863515
Don't know what that is and javascript is nerd genius shit I don't understand so it's impressive

>>28863543
Selling companies data is a huge business too, that's the only real issue with the project

I'll put more effort into my next shill post, sorry, it's late here in India

But isn't the cost of advertising through Brave tied to the price of BATs? So if BATs get too expensive no advertisers would use it

>> No.28864214

>>28863350
you can just turn off actually watching the ads too and still make money lmao

I hold BAT purely to support this project. Having a browser not controlled by big tech, especially when both major browsers companies are pro-censorship, is more important than gains.

>> No.28864402

>>28864153
No actually, they get revenue through tips the users make to them like patreon. So if the price goes up it will actually help the advertisers

>> No.28864465

>>28863482
That's why you exchange your BAT for LINK the moment you get them.

>>28863543
The problem is receiving/donating BAT are financial transactions and the project will not succeed before tax-free trade of cryptocurrencies becomes possible everywhere. Right now state actors are scared of abuse/money laundry/tax evasion hence cryptocurrency trading is heavily regulated. E.g. in the majority of countries if someone sends you a tip using BAT you'd have to pay taxes, in some places in the EU even on marginal amounts like 0.1 cents.
The of course other actors want their cut too. Apple already took the ability to do anything with BAT away on iOS unless they get 30% on every transaction.

Mozilla has about 80 employees and is a free open source network. It's not big tech, it made less than 600 million in revenue this year, Apple made 275 billion in revenue

Mozilla is an open source project, not big tech in the slightest. Literally small tech.

Advertisers NEED to buy them to run ads. How is the token not valuable? Most other tokens are only valuable because you hope that someone else buys them from you for more than you bought it for, guess what happens during a bear market? Nobody will want to buy them from you. With BAT you don't have that problem because advertisers don't care about a crypto bear market - they will still run ads and buy BAT. This recurring demand will put upward pressure on the token at all times, even during a bear market. If you don't have a suicide stack of BAT you're going to miss out.

I feel as though it could never really hit any substantial amount because it's given to you for free for using the browser. I have about 30 of them since using brave from the summer to now.

>> No.28867292

>>28864153
No, the price of BAT doesn't matter for the price of advertising on the browser, users will simply receive less BAT because the $ value of BAT is higher.

Pathetic Decentr shill. How's your little firefox extension with 100 users going? It's not like they can change a few lines of code and make it possible to tip smaller amounts, oh no, that would be so difficult.

>>28869501
That's just how the laws work, not Brave's fault that Anti Money Laundering laws do not allow you to withdraw Brave without going through KYC. The token is primarily meant to be used in the ecosystem to tip creators or in the future for subscriptions or paywalls.

>>28869142
Because the browser already has 25 million monthly users and advertisers like Verizon, PayPal, Amazon, etc already use the browser to advertise.
