My understanding is it's not a wash sale. The law is a bit vague and says buying and selling anything "substantially similar" within 30 days is a wash. Idk how your broker works, but mine has a built in roll function for calls. You essentially just buy back the calls you sold and sell them on a further expiry. You'll make a bit more money if you sell on the same strike. Example sold 2/19 10c of something and roll it into a 2/26 10c. You can also roll to higher strike, but if you do that, you're probably losing money.
