People think about how much more silver is going to be worth, and yes I agree.
But I worry that they might be forgetting how much more essentials might end up COSTING.
There could be so much fewer goods going around available for purchases.
Imagine the price of food if food production fell by half or god forbid three quarters.

Right.
In this kind of scenario the silver might buy you a LOT of stuff.
Like A LOT A LOT.
A lot of used huffy bicycles for your kid, a lot of sprinklers from craigslist, a lot of small engines, a lot of used cars, a lot of your favorite collectibles, autographed base balls, a lot of what ever random shit you could ever think of that you might want.
But it might not buy as much food and gasoline as you hoped.

FOMO'd into DNN this morning, I'm already up 10% on it despite buying in so late. From the research I did, they seem to be good.
UUUU is very good, they have a based CEO and a pretty solid track record, they're also unlikely to devalue their shares.
Cameco (CCJ) is very well established compared to a lot of other Uranium miners.
I've heard URG mentioned here from time to time, I don't know much about it though.
Avoid UEF, their CEOs a sleezebag who'll readily devalue their shares to enrich himself and they don't have any revenue or mines, just a decommissioned refinery.

Kinda idiomatic I think. Just like they say "die Schweiz", the Switzerland. But if you get into the etymology of these words you'll see there is some rationale for why they say it that way. Like I think the word Schweiz essentially means "canton" as in a province of Switzerland, and so die Schweiz means "the cantons".

I love war nickels, and I often an get them for melt value. The problem is that they are probably less liquid than you think, despite being constitutional silver. I really like them, they are a cool piece of WWII history, but there is a reason you can get them for melt value. 3 years ago I showed a crew of 6 green horn young guys with their families where to dig on their ground. I proved to them their ground in this stretch was $40 a yard ground, which was fantastic, and it was only 7ft from surface. Easy money in the bank. I came back a few weeks later to find their camp abandoned, all their gear left behind with forclosure locks on everything. The ground I showed them was unmined.
I found one of the 6 guys at the Wells hotel bar asking for a job, they had decided I didnt know what I was talking about and that there was better gold a few hundred yards down stream. They spent a quarter of a million bucks digging up 12 ounces in that summer. Thats how families break up and shootings start.

I did a series of test holes, 20 yards apart in a " X " shape across the area we were looking at. I think we actually did it twice in fact, one section than the top half of the section as well. We got good color repeatedly out of several holes along strike, so it was a solid pay layer several feet thick with bedrock close to surface, dam near text book. Problem was these guys had two older fellows who were so "sure" that there was millions of dollars at the other end of the claim and they just "knew" it was there. From what I gather they hit some hot gold at surface, ran that material all the way down 40ft to bedrock, and found only the 12 ounces. If they had listened to me and others too, they would probably be still mining there making a good living off that ground.

Pan Man, is there a lot of tailings reprocessing in Canuckdia? My grandpa has a couple acres in Mastodon creek. Went to check it out and there's a few mines operating out there, to my surprise. I talked to them and learned they're going through the tailings for the third time, still just barely making money off it. The whole thing has been mined four times now... People say the motherlode was never found there, but the way I figure, it probably fell right off the face of the dome - that's why it was so damn rich.

Which district / province mate? Yes often the previous generations or crews were sloppy / had inferior gear to recover the gold and lost much out the end of their sluices. Whiskey Flats near Barkerville for example had a floating dredge on it with screens 1 inch and smaller, so any gold bigger than 1 inch was lost out the end of the rig. Same goes for up on McDame Creek too, those idiots the second go at it lost 50% of their gold due to poor sluice setup.

What is the best way to hold gold and silver without paying high fees for it? I mean fees to ship it or problems with liquidity so having a large spread. I would ideally like to hold the asset and not incur fees. I also do not want to actually hold physical gold because then I have to worry about storing it and protecting it. Is there something like a crypto coin or an ETF which tracks the price of gold or silver?

If Venezuela is so cheap, would it be a good idea to buy a property and hold it for a few years then sell it when things start to stabilize? Might also just keep it and retire somewhere near the cost. What do you think bros? and how to i find property for sale in the first place?

I'm up in Alaska. Mastodon creek is about a hundred miles NE of Fairbanks. I figure mining wise it's pretty similar to the Yukon Territories for you guys. The dredges here did the same thing, biggest nugget ever found metal detecting was on the side of a road they used tailings to build, it was a couple pounds I think.

ah ok theres a Mastodon Creek near McDame thats all. Yes it can be very worth it to rework old tailings, but only if you can date them correctly. I look for garbage nearby / mixed in to figure out who was working the ground last. Here for example if I find big green "royal white" wine jugs I know two men I know have worked that ground in the 70s. If I find specific cans or tools I can date the site to a specific era and know generally what type of gear they had and how likely they cleaned house. Its not perfect but it helps a lot.
