I won't say it's impossible to dip under 1.30 but unlikely unless a market wide down turn happens like the past few days. We have support walls as tall as 400k algos at the front line, a 100k algo support line at 1.30, and another 400k algo support line at 1.20. I've been looking into Algorand for a while and it seems like a really cool project. I'm a poorfag though, and I only have a couple hundred to spare for an alttcoin.

I'd say ADA and XRP are almost directly comparable to ALGO and good investments, since they're all ISO 20022 coins which is the future. In terms of raw performance, ALGO has probably the best capabilities but the smallest network currently. Someone post the ALGO throughput compared to VISA, ALGO crushes the throughput of VISA, has significantly lower transaction fees, and confirms transactions faster. ADA is close to ALGO when it comes to raw performance. I don't know the specifics about XRP but someone please post that TPS chart comparing the modern ISO 20022 coins as well as old coins.

you better believe it, ALGO can handle like 4k transactions per second, costs $0.0014 per transaction at current rates, and finalizes transactions within seconds, on average 2s. The underlying tech is incredible. Visa can only handle 1.7k transactions per second, percentage based transaction fees, and on average verifies in 5s or so. ADA is comparable to ALGO but isn't as capable, both crushes the capabilities of visa. Moving forward, it only makes sense to transition the backbone of financial processing to these more efficient means, the problem is porting the old standards to the new which is what ISO 20022 accomplishes by standardizing the language between international institutions

If you want fast gains it’s not a good coin, it’s basically crypto for boomer etf investors who can wait years and years.

Self-Selection via Verifiable Random Function

Every block in Algorand reveals a new random and unpredictable selection seed that determines which users should participate in the next round of the consensus protocol. When a new block gets committed to the blockchain, everyone becomes aware of this seed (and everyone sees the same seed). A user secretly checks whether they were selected to participate by evaluating a Verifiable Random Function (VRF) with their secret participation key and the selection seed. This computation is minimal, so even a limited device such as a Raspberry Pi can do it. The VRF computation produces a pseudorandom output with a cryptographic proof that anyone can use to verify the result. By sending this proof, a user can prove to anyone that they were indeed selected to participate.

1.45 to 1.50 is extra hard mode, there's like 1.2M algos that want to be sold in that range. I want to see algo break 1.5 by midnight but it's time for me catch some sleep, goodnight frens, hodl stronk, stay comfy

before I leave btw I'll explain, it's a depth chart and shows supply and demand. Demand is the green and supply is red, the price is the bottom line and volume is the shaded area. The middle is the mid market price, what happens is buyers are matched with sellers at the mid market price by the coin engine. The mid market price is where supply meets demand. Now, a depth chart can give incredible insight on present situation but lacks range and trend. Candle charts are nice but most people don't understand that a candle chart is late, it's the past. To see the present, you need to understand the depth chart.

How's 100k eoy sound?

Lol, nah I'm joking bro. I've heard as high as 20 bucks, but my guess is 10-15 [on the conservative side. I'm actually more interested in the compound interest of a long hodl. You just keep cost averaging and buying more and more. I want to get to 10 algo a day in just staking. I've only got 5160 ALGO rn, but I'm going to throw another 20-30k at it over the next few months.

Yeah, it's becoming hotter and hotter. They actually pushed a bunch of ALGO out and and the dip wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it'd be. I'm going to buy more no matter what it does, but... yeah, it's always better to get it lower if you can do that, G.

>> No.29015426

>>29015271
Yep they pushed out almost a billion coins because the price hit firewalls and maintained the price for more than 24 hours to issue rewards and it was just eaten up while doing almost nothing to momentum. The two planned drops this year are only 50M coins each for early investors and node operators so they will not do much.

Proud to be present in the first ever ALGO general. But, I think you should put some more efforts into it, e.g. some useful links for the normies as well such as staking rewards, projects, technicals, jewtube vids, etc...

The documentation says it wont compound automatically, so you have to do it regularly. How often you do this depends on how much algo you have and what the current transaction fee is.

I would say daily if you have a decent sized stack 5k+
