Okay so the price of a crypto coin or stock is determined as the average price that people are buying a token or share for. So if you wanted to make a bunch of money wouldn't you just slowly accumulate a nearly worthless token or stock until you had a majority percentage and then send an order to buy at an outrageous price, like 10-50x higher than the current value, at an extremely large amount of volume to pump the stock up? Couldn't you just continue to increase the amount you were paying for each consecutive share so that the price pumps up and then once you've stabilized the price higher than you bought your original shares you can slowly sell off everything and make 10-100x? Doesn't this mean that billionaires can just print infinite money with the stock market and crypto coins by manipulating them like this and that everyone without billions of dollars in liquidity lying around to manipulate markets can only make money by riding the waves created by these billionaires?

part of analyzing a coin is determining if someone (or group) has a 51% majority
its possible to belly flop the price like that even with .6% of the market if it's is slow and not alot of people have sell/buy walls up

But for stocks you could for instance have 1,000 different family members all holding accounts for you and you agree to pay out 10% of the profit their account makes to them in exchange for them using their accounts to obfuscate your activity, for coins you could use as many wallets as you want

So why would you ever invest in anything? Why not just become con-man and get into the confidence of these whales and learn what they are going to pump and make money off them, like a barnacle on a whale?

congrats on discovering financial markets. sure you can buy the whole order book to pump the price, but since you're planning to do it on shitty assets that no one wants, no one will buy your sell orders and you will be stuck with bags and bags of shitcoins you substantially overpaid for.

this concept may be surprising to you, but someone actually has to want to buy your sell order. it's not a video game giving you free money just because you clicked sell

You are correct that you buying up the supply would pump up the price, the trick is ensuring there are actually buyers to sell to after you’ve pumped it. That’s why you see shills on this board all the time talking up coins.

In the case of shitcoins couldn't you just take 5% of your tokens and give them to 10,000 poor Indians to get them to shill? After all if they are holding your bags they will want to become rich by pumping the price up. For stocks just shill it on the news, reddit, etc.

Look at this board. It’s all about riding pumps and cashing out before the quick inevitable dump, then moving on the next scam. That’s all we do every crypto bull cycle.

But then logically wouldn't rich families do the same thing to nations? Pump the nation up, boost the economy, consume the wealth, and then collapse the nation in order to create a new pump?

The pajeets are part of the /biz/ ecosystem at this point. Anyone here long enough can tell a pajeet shill from the average /biz/tard.
Any new lightweight shitcoin with a relatively insignificant marketcap being shilled promising a 2x-10x pump within less than two weeks will always be 100% a scam coin. The thing is as long as you caught on onto the scam early enough you can actually risk it and jump into the start of the pump then pull out just at the right time and come out with a quick buck.

TapProtocol (TTT) fits this bill.

The market cap is like $300k.
It has a working product allowing transfer of in-game rewards and currency, and will soon have a NFT portal - thing of it like a trading post for cross chain NFTs eg art, gaming, whatever.

It’s going to fucking blow up man. Biz still hasn’t clicked

No. The price is last transaction.
>accumulate a nearly worthless token
If it's nearly worthless it's because almost everyone sold it or because there exists a huge quantity of it. You will not find buyers.
