Does no one ever average down? I've never been in a stock that I couldn't average down on, wait for it to go to break even and get out of IF I needed to. If you thought the stock was fairly priced at 350 then it should be a discount at 50. Why not buy more at 50 and cut your average price? Stupid.

Averaging down is an emotional management strategy. That's not necessarily a bad thing, anything that helps remove emotional aspect from your investments CAN absolutely be useful (I still take out my initial investment after the first 2x and) but it should be acknowledge that strategies like these are rooted in logical fallacy, and is not actually helping you mathematically.
