Bitcoin has been good for Gold and Silver. Bitcoin has educated millions of people about Austrian Economic principles and the pitfalls of fiat currency. You hate bitcoin because it has no 'intrinsic value' however I suspect a vast majority of mining companies people invest in, once governments around the world begin nationalizing gold mines will also have no value at all whilst bitcoin continues to do well.

BTC is predominantly mined by the chinese (that don't keep it, they just sell it to the West) with opaque and possible money printing dollar tokens like Tether that is both a public, permanent and not so secret ledger that is hoarded by a handful of whales. And it is a deflationary "currency" that will only be hoarded.
Blockchain is interesting but BTC was a proof of concept that only has brand name recognition. There is certainly crypto that improves upon many of BTC's many weaknesses but a lot of these post 2017 "adopters" are very much in it as a speculation of an asset with no inherent value that provides no service to undergird its worth (like a token). None of these tokens have been really tested by the kind of hatred governments can direct against threatening assets to their financial insanity and I doubt many (especially the "big institutions") would keep it if it was ever heavily regulated, banned, and/or heavily taxed.
The early adopters of BTC are much different than the current crowd. But rarely do I here any serious discussion of BTC besides pumping it so you can sell your BTC for more fiat than you put in.
