Searched the catalog looking for this with no luck, so here we go. (Also I promise I'm not here to shill this, I just want to hear what other people have to say.)

Does anyone else use this? I just started on it a couple days ago and it was quick as fuck to get verified and trading right away, like less than 20 minutes. I couldn't figure out how to use Binance and I'm still waiting to get verified for Binance US (but even then, I still don't know exactly how/where to get cheap coins like the FTM that's blowing up right now). I haven't really seen anyone else mention it when it comes to wallets and all that, should I be wary?

Also, what the fuck is up with CRO, is that something I should be investing in or what. I'm dumb and new when it comes to crypto and this was the most accessible and easy app to get into for me, so I'm thinking as it gets more popular and a bunch more idiots like me want to get into it, this will get pretty popular. I bought into first-gen Pokemon cards 2 years ago before normies blew it the fuck up, so I'm wondering that'll happen here, too.

Icy white holder here...

You've got in at a good time:

> 70b token burn last week
> mainnet coming 25th March with 20% on chain staking
> CRO incredibly undervalued
> Best crypto infrastructure, fastest exchange, building a solid platform for new products.

I couldn't be more comfy, you'll get some who are against it and some who downright avoid it.

I've used it for a few years now and I've never had problems with any aspect of the project.

The spike recently was because they burned 70 billion (not in use) of the 100 billion quantity of tokens and announced some other plans. So it spiked up overnight but came down to earth. Lotta people thought burgers would keep pumping in but it just sorta bled out to middle-ish cuz the whole market crashed.

In my experience, betting on bix exchanges tokens works well if you have the patience. But idk with this one. Even if it's a site called crypto dot com, still doesn't seem super popular.

But I'm betting on AMP cuz of gemini exchange's Flexa integration and BNB has gotten crazy.

Think the people runninh cro have done some weird shit tho with breaking promises.

So idk

Not super popular...

Userbase went from 5m to 10m active users in 4 months.

That was fun to watch. I just got the CRO for the card perks, that was actually not long before the burn though so they were nice and cheap.

What would be your advice for me? How many CRO do you think I'd need to be totally set for the future? I'm broke but with my tax return coming in and a possible stimulus, I might be able to throw down a few hundo or so. Any guesses to how much it'll be worth in a year? Should I stake my coins after next month? Sorry for all the questions anon

>> No.29646281

For shits and giggles I got the card about 2 weeks ago but the more I read the more I'm convinced this is super undervalued in the long term. Going to accumulate and set up the staking then just leave it for 3 years until the next BTC cycle

>> No.29646454

>>29646187
No worries, I cant give financial advice because thats way above my pay grade.

However, I've seen alot of people speculating a $1 EOY price as being pretty likely so at $0.12 we could almost do a 10x by then... of course that entirely banks on BTC not falling off a cliff and bringing everything down with it.

They are targeting a 100m userbase by 2023 they brought their projections forward from 2025 after a crazy uptake this year.

I hold just enough for my icy (grandfathered in at 100k) and an extra 50k for the 20% when main net goes live.

>> No.29646558

>>29646281
You need 50k CRO for staking right? And you get 10% APY on that 50k?

From 25th March when mainnet goes live there will be no minimum and you will get 20% on it.

What he said. I've already kinda made it on BTC and LINK so now I'm looking at setting up passive income by staking with pools. CRO, GRT and BNT all seem to be great buys if that's what you're looking for

cool cool, I appreciate it

Can anyone give me a super simple rundown of what staking is and what APY means and how it works. I'm an idiot but I want to be a wealthy one.

I have only heard this was the best app around but I haven’t got a chance to use it yet because I lost ley drivers license and am waiting for a new one in the mail.

Compared to Coinbase, does it seem like it allows more variety of crypto?

>> No.29646927

>>29646705
Staking is when you dedicate your tokens to a liquidity pool, sometimes you will need to lock your token for a certain time frame and won't be able to touch them while you accrue %, but there is also soft staking where you can move your tokens freely and you'll earn a % as they stay in the required place.

APY is the interest you will earn in a year.

So at 20% if you locked away 100k CRO over the year you would earn an extra 20k CRO in interest.

>> No.29646936

>>29646793
I started with a Coinbase and then found the Crypto app a couple days later, from what I can tell it definitely seems to have more variety, though there's still a good amount you can't buy.

>> No.29646983

>>29646793
Yes the variety of coins offered is much more substantial, they also have an exchange and a DeFi wallet which gives you ownership of your own crypto keys.

Holy shit. Is there minimum I should gather to stake? So if I staked 10k of CRO and it became $3 each, I'd be given $6k worth of CRO when it's unlocked? I seriously think I'm going to do this, I hope it works out.

Yes if you stake 10k CRO you will get 2k CRO rewards.

If CRO ever made it to $3 you would have $30k staked and be earning $6k a yeah in CRO interest.

Does anyone here actually use the card? What kind of fees are you paying every time to top up?

>> No.29647383

>>29647316
Yeah I have icy white. You pay 0% fees to top up.

The credit card fee is if you buy crypto on the app. Not to top up your card.

>> No.29647572

The app is good, and I used CdC as my onramp, picked up a big bag of ADA and have therefore had a comfy couple of months.
My concerns are: the long wait time for fiat withdrawal approval and some bad Trustpilot reports that CdC haven't addressed, and the way their card reward schemes are funded from CdC and not through affilation with the reward companies themselves. Their card is not issued by CdC but by a 3rd party, and their model appears to be fake it till you make it. The staking on CRO seems again to be based on the ponzi aspect of growth in the crypto space rather than competition within it.

>> No.29647669

>>29647423
So for example I have a 3 month stake locked away which is 12% on stable coins. This pays out weekly.

Flexible (8%) is calculated the same from the day you put it in so say I put in $1k on Monday and took it out the following Wednesday I would have accrued a weeks worth of interest.

$1k x 0.08 = $80

$80 / 365 = 0.21

0.21 x 7 = $1.47 In interest for that week.

this spoonfeeding is pretty gay desu

but I'm in at the Icy level too, mostly because it gives me that sweet 2% extra APY on my earn contracts.
I've got about 30K linkies locked up in earn contracts, so my link stack is getting swole while I sleep.
Personally I think CRO isn't going much higher.
they've been playing this game about pegging card stakes to certain valuations.
now that they've converted to a fiat peg, people are going to be selling off as much CRO as they can while still maintaining their stake. especially if there's ever a price pop.
meanwhile, there's no additional buying pressure to increase a stack size when it dips. the stake valuation is fixed.
all their interest earning products are pretty lame and pretty bad deal if the underlying asset decreases in value. What's 20% apy, when the token depreciates 5% in a day?

Celsius probably has more positive pressure on it, and I'll be switching over to that once my link stack gets too pricey to deposit entirely on CdC.

Let's say I want to cash out without CGT, Could I theoretically just use the card to cash out without mr kike + friends finding out? I know you only get so much in feeless withdrawals but 2% is better than 20% surely
