rejected by grad school, how can i profit

im a poorfag piece of shit who wanted to go for a pure math PhD, but I've gotten rejected from almost every program I've applied to. Covid literally made it such that there are only 1/3rd of the normally available spots open. I've never been so fucking depressed in my life. I don't have any other future plans, and no practical skills besides my degree, what are some jobs i could do for the next year (involving my degree) before i apply again?

Once you know exactly why speak to it in your essay on the next application.

I.E. "You didn't do enough extra curriculum anon" So you write "I was extremely busy at the time trying to manage a family a job yadda yadda

this but not this. whatever the reason you were rejected, make an effort to fill in that inadequacy, THEN write about it ok your next application essay. it shows that you’re a proactive problem solver who listens and reacts positively to criticism. if they still reject you then kill them in minecraft

only graduate students are allowed to TA at my school. I was an undergraduate grader, so I got paid to grade homework for the math department. I have one paper published, and a grad class under my belt. But you're right honestly, im sure there are people with like 100x my qualifications. I highly doubt all of them are taking my spots tho
