He's a "sales expert" but was torn apart by Jordan Belfort on a podcast and exposed as a fraud. He is a scientologist. His story is pretty interesting though, even if it is probably embellished. He was a crappy used car salesman, realized his life was shit, started reading and listening to every sales training tape he could in the 1990's, and made a name for himself by cold calling and pounding the phone as much as he could in an industry that just relied on word of mouth and standing around waiting for customers to drive up to the lot. Became a sales trainer in the automotive industry, made a name for himself, lost a ton of money in the 2008 crash, and then vowed to never be broke again. Since then he has created a multi-channel "sales expert" empire, with training, videos, podcasts, live events, etc. He has ventured over to real estate and was doing extremely well last I read. But he is a Scientologist and has had his techniques and abilities torn apart by multiple sales experts. Still worth hundreds of millions so good for him.

If you don't know what you're doing sure, but if you're a young professional, a school provides a filter for employers. Good school = better prospects for professional work out of school. Saying you got a course from some guru in real estate or internet marketing though doesn't. Even if you're an aspiring entrepreneur, these guru courses still seem comparatively worse.

I don’t understand why every single one of these guys who tries to sell some secret to investing online always just himself on a beach, on a yacht, on a private jet, in a beautiful home, in front of an expensive car....
Well, I do understand if fully, but that’s why I don’t understand it. It’s so blatantly manipulative that it just comes off as lazy. It’s literally the first thing that pops into my mind when I see him or that Tim Sykes guy or any other millionaire/billionaire investor who advertises a course: “I know that you want me to see you on a private jet with palm trees and a nice watch and a ferrari and think ‘wow this guy must know what he’s doing! Better pay him for his investing course’”
