I don't get it. Why not just screenshot it instead of paying exuberant prices?

That’s my question too. NFTs = digital garbage

Why not buy a poster of the mona lisa so you have the mona lisa anon? don't ask these stupid questions. ownership of the original = value

The Mona Lisa took years to paint. NFT art tokens are basically prints of the original work because the creator can just issue another series or whatever

What your opinion on NEXT Chain? A masternode is a securisation node of a decentralised network, from which transactions or tasks are realised 24/7. Becoming an owner of a node, just like with the miners: you will receive a commission in NEXT (currently at 10 NEXT/daily), proportionally to the service delivered to the network. Masternode holders have voting rights and vote on proposals suggested by masternode holders. Join on Telegram @nextchain

This but without the sarcasm. Plus it's physical too.
Digital art.. I mean what do you even do with it? You just store it on your computer just like this pepe image

Nfts most visible usecase is "art ownership" but you are looking were you shouldn't you should focus on ownership.
Digital identification, e-health, that's were the future is.

NFTs/art
The current use of NFTs is very limited compared to its full potential.
Think real estate NFTs, automobile NFTs, plane tickets, event tickets, all of these industries and more could greatly benefit from NFT tech.
The current use of NFTs is very retarded, yes, but its potential is huge imo.

I'm kind of dubious about nft in the long run because I got a warning when I went to buy one saying unless I knew the exact code of the nft I could be buying a carbon copy I thought that was really strange considering I was buying from a marketplace selling licensed stuff

Nothing wrong with screenshotting it but a lot of people pay money for an original.

Just like you could photocopy a Black Lotus Magic card but people still pay $5k for the real thing.

Same, and I dismissed art NFTs for the same reason.

However, there's an argument to be made that digital art is way too easy to copy, but if you put the provenance trail on a blockchain, suddenly there IS a difference between "original art" and a screenshot.

99% of people will just be happy with a screenshot, but that's not those who actually spend big for art in the first place. Those with too much money who like to buy art will immediately understand why this is a game changer for purely digital art.

The poster or reprint of the Mona Lisa doesn't have the same texture, feel or smell of the original. A copy of digital art is the exact same as the original.
