Nothing will ever skyrocket like BTC and any other shitcoin is just that.
This board is filled with bots ran by kikes trying to make a buck off young impressionable morons thinking you'll make it big and live the fast life.
Crypto is a shit investment right now. What you need to do is find the next crypto like business to invest in.

Stop buying heavily shilled garbage like ASKO or whatever and actually put in some research that isn’t entirely centred on this place. One of my most promising coins is hardly ever posted here, and I intend to keep it that way because /biz/ literally ruins everything.

I don't believe crypto is a shit investment and I think it will be getting bigger. That being said, almost every coin seems mighty bearish right now if you exclude the trends for this bull run. Besides BTC I've only identified about 3 that seem worth holding for multiple months if they were to actually crash hard and to no surprise, none of those are "obscure gems" and two are in the top 20 by market cap. Feeling very bearish for post-bullmarket, only waiting to see if those coins dump enough, which I don't have much faith in, will probably need to wait for new trends to emerge.

Unironically LTO. Staking returns come entirely from the transaction fees, paid for by their clients. Basically a dividend. 7% APY with half the network staked, but transactions will keep growing. Meaning so will the yield.

Only 100 mil marketcap but top 10 in network usage

The coin that controls the activity of other coins does literally nothing. The coins that purport to serve a function follow the literal do nothing coin in lockstep. Knowing very little, this confounds me.
Inb4 >no intrinsic value.
There is intrinsic value in packeting and transferring packets of encrypted data, isn't there? Or of eventually automating the aggregation of data to feed matrices that pay out insurance policies? It sounds possible, and just fucked up and soulless enough to be entirely plausible.

Crypto is never going to amount to anything because its decentralized. The Federal Reserve would never allow for any cryptocurrency to be used in large scale as that undermines their ability to properly conduct monetary policy.
The government also has a vested interest in cryptocurrency never making it since it makes it easier to launder money and avoid taxes. And you know they need that sweet sweet tax revenue to mindlessly blow it.
That being said if the government is not up for crypto and neither is the Fed then what's the actual fundamental value of crypto?
Inb4 well Elon bought BTC through Tesla. He did but that's just him being a shady character, pumping its value under false pretenses to net a profit.
I wouldn't be surprised if he was told Tesla can't legally accept BTC as a form of payment.

>> No.30040035

>>30039853
>Federal Reserve would never allow for any cryptocurrency to be used in large scale
I mean, isn't it already though? It is, with the exception of a few token assets, entirely traceable also.
>what's the actual fundamental value of crypto?
Did you read what I wrote? Maybe it is nothing, but having encrypted packets of automated information performing tasks for clients seems of some value. Maybe deFi is bullshit - certainly the vast majority of it is - but its difficult to imagine the tech not having some sort of broad scale use in the future.

>> No.30040156

Don't you think at this point it's more likely for governments to adopt crypto and attemtp to subdue it so that they can track everything by either enforcing their own "stablecoins" (which I think we're seeing the beginnings of already) or by enforcing KYC basically everywhere so anonymous ownership is illegal and they can keep track of your public keys to keep tabs on laundering and force you to pay taxes on it in the national currency?

>> No.30040161

>>30040035
It isnt in the sense it doesnt hold a direct threat to the stability of the dollar. Regular people dont use BTC on their day to day purchases and neither do blue chip companies or banks.
The block chain technology is valuable but crypto cant be more than a speculative asset for the reasons I exposed.

I dont think so because it still undermines and strains the way the Fed can effectively conduct their monetary policy. And the results of their work benefit us all.
Furthermore the Gov. is run by dinosaurs which aren't known to be as tech savvy as young people.
But even if they were how could they enforce KYC policies if companies had no incentive to do so if they can just deliberately obscure profits?

I looked up what comment you were referencing. Take a look at pic rel.
Also what she meant was not the creation of a stable coin as you put it but rather a "digital dollar" which is no more no less than rooted in an unconventional monetary policy that defends extinguishing fiat currency can have positive effects for the economy.
And those positive effects are linked with the ability of the Fed to lower interest rates to never before charted lands of serious negative interest in your bank deposits which is highly controversial but I wouldn't expect some moron to understand the finésse of it all.
