The only use case for smart contracts is to swap smart contract tokens.

Wow amazing.

1 year from now they'll all be worthless.

> decentralized lending is not a legitimate use case
Are you trolling or just completely retarded? Decentralized finance/ lending is a huge innovation and is being used by tons of people. A lot of other financial contracts can be decentralized in similar ways. It’s only a matter of time.

>> No.30157080

>>30156366
Every corporate or government use of smart contracts is a meme for marketing purposes only.

There's not a single use case that can't be implemented cheaper, faster and better using normal software architecture instead of on a blockchain.

You really don’t know what you’re talking about. You can lend/ borrow tokens backed by FIAT currency. And you can sell those tokens for actual FIAT currency to spend on consumption or investing (in non-crypto assets).

I have a background in finance, DeFi truly is revolutionary. There’s literally nothing preventing stocks, real estate, commodities, PMs, bonds etc. from being tokenized and collateralized in the future.
Sorry you missed out on crypto bro. Hope you make it with something else.

Name one (1) solution for making a (financial) contract that doesn’t involve a third party in the enforcement. Hint: you can’t. And enforcement has a huge cost/ price. Have a look at the spread between the risk free rate and the lowest possible borrowing rate ANYONE (other that the government) can get. A large percentage of this spread is a market inefficiency. And decentralized financing can solve it.

>> No.30158994

>>30158935
just admit it you only want a decentralized market so you can buy degenerate shit like slaves on the dark web...

You should spend like 30-40 minutes researching defi before you invest in crypto currency or talk about it in a public setting.

Sorry, I forgot. Don’t worry about crypto, OP. It’s all just a massive scam used for drugs and CP. you didn’t miss out on anything. There’s absolutely no use cases for decentralized contracts that can reduce huge market inefficiencies. Just forget about crypto and go on with your life.

this
blockchain was designed for monetary use and thus stores of value (pretty much just bitcoin) and means of exchange (stablecoins, but not any one in particular) will be the only use cases to survive this cycle
I wouldnt expect any particular defi/dapp token to survive the next ten years, and platforms like eth/link/ada etc. will exist only bc people will keep attempting to create vaporware and pnds built on these platforms
not saying that decentralised applications other than money wont happen eventually, just that itll probably take at least a few decades
