Oxy operates a lot of the old legacy fields with big production and low lift costs. If you aren’t scared of their debt they are a company that can really benefit from higher oil prices without even drilling new wells

Pioneer is the leader in the Permian basin and is a lot more efficient than a major like Exxon or chevron

I’d go for one of these. If you want a major probably go with chevron as they seem the least bureaucratic and retarded of them all.

If the P/E you are talking about were an average in which all companies are valued equally, a single company with a PE of 900 would need 22 other companies with a PE of 0 (i.e. the stock price is 0) to land at an average of 39. Now consider that a PE that low is obviously not possible and that what you are likely talking about is weighted by market cap and that TSLA is one of the 10 biggest company in the index, and you could have entire sectors with a PE below 10 to compensate for it.
And as I said, there are industries that literally can't have earnings right now because they have been shut down by the government.

And, of course, for fuck's sake -- please stop using a relative multiple like PE to talk about the absolute valuation of companies.

It’s totally unbelievable to me that anyone would ever want a car with only 300 mile range so that it’s basically tethered to your home area. When to me cars mean freedom and the ability to go anywhere at the drop of a hat is a wonderful and exciting thing. I think I’m a bad investor because i can’t even put myself in someone’s shoes who would want to own an EV. Yet it does appear most people would like to own one.
