>So its a big player's market

That's a false conclusion. Think about your gains in percentages based on initial entry position.

IE: If you drop 100$ in the market, assuming you use Scottrade it's going to cost you 14% of your 100$ to just buy/sell the shares since each trip is 7$ (or 7%). That means, in order to break even, you must first make a 14% return.

So although you can make money with only 100$, you would most likely need to buy a high risk stock that fluctuates wildly.

The more you have to invest, the less risk you can assume while still making a decent return.

Question:

What's the difference between a treasury bond, treasury security, and treasury bill? If I buy a bond, how can I reasonably determine the interest payout based on the period of maturity? Looks like your solution isn't through investing (although your lack of investing properly in the past is an issue) but rather getting another job that can pay the bills or go after that guys insurance company (have your attorney sue theirs or yours). That would be my suggestion.

I am suing the driver's insurance company, but my atty think he can only get them to pay 50%, because a witness said I ran a red light (I didn't). It's better than nothing, but the treatment cost and attorney fees will eat up anything I might have left over.
