Non biz related thread but you guys are the only people i feel i can ask, how do I become happy? is anyone here consistently happy?

Im pursuing wealth because i feel it can lead me to a higher quality of life and away from wagecuckery, but i fear its all a big cope to handle the fact i didnt have a happy childhood and have never had any adolescent romance. I'm not holding up well boys.

money isnt the only thing to make you happy, but its certainly one factor that can lead to it. social contacts/friends are key to happiness imo. try to get better at socialising and youll find love eventually as well. good luck!

happiness is a by product.
happiness is overrated.
if you're happy all the time, wouldn't that be your new "normal"? When would it be enough?

Happiness is overrated, embrace the cycle of emotions. It's about balance. Learn not to give a fuck and don't be afraid of feeling bad. The more you run away from you feel the harder and shittier it gets.

I’m 29 and happy every single day, literally. It helps that my income is passive and I don’t work, but that’s really just a small part of it. AMA.

Do stuff that makes you happy. I enjoy driving, golf, music, making stuff, and drugs. Starting to into programming bc crypto. Create your own rabbit hole, express yourself, and get inspired. Keep at it until you get bored or get it right.

Small, achievable goals that you enjoy. Fresh air. Friends you can actually have fun with and be comfortable around. A sense of giving back to the community. Lastly enough money to be independent & support yourself (as a man you don't need to be rich, but you need to be self sufficient & not relying on others-- government included-- to provide for you)

I agree with this, I even named my company to reference this exact philosophy. That being said I’m still always happy, even when things are “down”.

I can't speak for you but I don't think "happy" is the right word, maybe "optimistic", as in if your mother died you wouldn't feel happy, but you might feel optimistic, you might be able to think of the good times together and content that you had a nice relationship and don't have any regrets.

No one should strive to always be "happy" because it's impossible, but it's good to have a positive view of the world, to be optimistic, to be able to see the silver lining in any situation, and not let the dips crush you or pull you into misery or depression.

Meditate, distance yourself from your inmediate reality, take a walk, adopt a dog, teach something to someone for free (not through internet, but interacting face to face). Happiness is indeed something overrated, but they are little things.

Of course having breakfast on your yatch while 2 bitches blow you it may help. But go for the little things that comfort you and makes your life have a purpose.
