after the fork

>> No.3799166

When everyone is done moving their alts to BTC for the fork which will probably not give them free money.

It wont.
This is the final one.

>> No.3799205

it hasn't even begun...if you remember the last alt mass casualty.

why does everyone expect to profit off of this btc fork?

>> No.3799284

>>3799248
The same reason everyone thinks the overshilled ICOs will hit 10x exchange every time, they'd heard about it happening in the past without understanding any fundamentals

>> No.3799324

>>3799248

Because they don't understand that one of the chains is probably going to die.

>> No.3799358

Ok sorry guys I haven't been paying attention. Is there going to be another btc fork?

B2X with segwit and 2 mb block
BTC, segwit, same 1 mb block
and then also Bitcoin Gold which is a fork done by a mining group and some other private individuals

It's fucking fork mania and it's ruining my alts

becuase the last fork was profitable

I haven't been in this long, but I know to just hold my alts. Will they recover fully? I have extra fiat I plan on pumping into this too, but I just want to know if usually the alts recover to what they were trading at say, like, 2 weeks ago?

>> No.3800543

>>3800418
most of them will recover or won't drop that much
look at altcoins on coinmarketcap and what happened before/after 1st august

but yeah normies now think it's a 10% to 50% bonus money if they just hold btc, it won't happen because bots and whales will crash it down to 0 a few seconds after fork but alts can suffer way more this time meanwhile

I don't know if I have the strenght to hold my alts though, it they recover from today soon I might sell

tl;dr everyone wants free money and don't plan at all to hold btc gold or the 2x, but since they don't realise everyone will do it they might dump their alts

>> No.3800582

>>3800543
Interesting, thanks. I was sort of hoping my alts would recover between now and then, so I could sell them off and once the fork happens and btc drops, I assume alts will drop, and I can put a lot more fiat into it.

Quick question with selling actually, do you sell to USDT, or fiats? I don't really get how USDT works...

>> No.3800661

>>3800582
I'd sell my alts and stay in btc, which is supposed to get value.
usdt is just an easier way to get the same results than being in fiat, some say it's risky and could crash any minute but I don't believe it, we had some flash crash and its price didn't move a single %

>>3800661
Oh right, so during this fork, BTC will gain value, but the other forks (bitcoin gold), will lose value quickly?
