I don't understand - can somebody explain why is Silicon Valley the ideal place for starting a tech/social media company, when the tax rates for California are absolutely horrible for businesses? I suppose if you're backed by millions & millions of dollars, the extra $ in taxes may not matter. But if an average Joe wants to start a tech/social media company, why not do so from one of the more tax friendly states?
