Why does btc/eth/ltc all share identical chart patterns? First to give me a phenomal answer gets a prize

>> No.4678127

Ethereum would never be possible without bitcoin—both the technology and the currency—and we see ourselves not as a competing currency but as complementary within the digital ecosystem. Ether is to be treated as "crypto-fuel", a token whose purpose is to pay for computation, and is not intended to be used as or considered a currency, asset, share or anything else.

Because people don't buy into the technology, they are speculating and think they're diversifying their portfolio when they buy different coins. They buy and sell all of them at the same time.

99% of people that trade LTC also trade ETH, and 99% of people that trade ETH also trade BTC. These people also trade much much more than people that only hold BTC for example. When they sell their BTC they sell their ETH too and so on. Thats why.

There has to be something more to it. I understand where youre coming from but there has to be a more tangible connection than just a whole lot of people being speculative with all three cryptos at once

Not to mention most exhanges dont trade all 3 together but in different combinations. Ie: gemini trades btc/eth and coinbase ltc/btc

dont think too much into it. most people think easy and sell if they think they could lose more and come back in when they think it'll make profit again. since btc, eth and ltc are arguably the most common investments they just put their money back in these 3

Main reason- btc is the primary trading pair. In exchanges most coins are stuck tied to btc. This will affect all traded coins within an exchange. Prices on exchanges then influence.. the prices.
Btc Ltc and Eth all represent "crypto". Think of people betting on crypto as a whole and you find them diversified in these three especially.

They're listed together.
People usually put money in BTC and then buy like one shartcoin.
