I've been working in a compliance office for a bank for like 2 months and have probably done 3 hours of effective work in total. You're right about anti dietary cholesterol movements being a very bad thing to promote, but blood cholersterol isn't really impacted by a high cholesterol diet. It's just necessary to have that for over all health.
In terms of body fat screwing up regulation, you are right to some degree but it is white fat that screws it up, not brown fat. Carbohydrates produce a lot of white fluffy fat which is where people get beer bellies from. Brown fat is much smaller and shows itself less.
