Please help me understand why we got raped when EU futures went up from Free Port fire. How the fuck does that reduce demand? It should reduce supply?

>> No.49479904

>>49479821
the fire destroyed the refinery, which means we can't export to europe
1. this cuts european supply, so their prices go up because same demand lower supply
2. this increases our supply, so our prices go down because same demand higher supply

It's kinda like how Rick Rule said,

>You can determine the performance of Uranium from my viewer counts alone
>When Uranium isn't doing well I get only few thousand viewers.
>When it's doing well I get over thirty thousand per video.

Same goes for these threads.
When things aren't moving or when they go down people aren't interested.
When they're doing well people want to jump in and chase the price.

I think we're early in a sense that these companies still have at least 10x left in them, but the first easy 10-30x has already been made in the energy sector.
Many PMs might still have that easy money left in them along with some niche energy companies that haven't moved yet.
I really hope that we end up retesting the bottoms we had a little while ago or go even lower with the greater market. I want to load up on more stuff and I'm in no big hurry for this market to go up.

I don't think anyone can answer that, but I think it's pretty safe to say that every non shit company can do at least 10x simply based on the market cap of the entire industry.
Really it would be impossible not to do 10x from here when the entire Uranium sector is valued somewhere between 40-60 bil. Government's mere intention to buy 4 bil worth of Uranium is enough to move the entire market 10% and that shows how insanely small this sector is.
I keep my expectations at 10x from here, wouldn't be surprised at all if they did more though.
It's good to keep in mind how much money is out there at the moment along with new investors. The market looks completely different when compared to the early 2000s or 2008.
We might very well experience some absolutely insane numbers if Uranium becomes a trendy meme sector, which is entirely possible. But I try to keep things at least somewhat down to earth.

Another reason is because I am already in the best performing trades: Oil and the US Dollar

People think the dollar is getting killed to inflation, and it is in real terms in the long run, but in the shorter-term, the dollar has gained MASSIVELY against all stocks except oil producers. When a stock falls -50%, that is the same as your dollar gaining +100% against that stock because you can now buy 2x as much of that stock with the same dollar. So literally sitting in US Dollars over the past 6 months has been the best performing trade along with oil, if you want to buy stocks. The dollar has of course lost to housing, but if you're not buying a house it doesn't fucking matter. I'm buying stocks, not houses

Sitting in dollars, you lose to inflation when it comes to real-life goods and services like food and gas, but dollars are up hugely against stocks (except oil). So if you want to buy stocks eventually, dollars are the best performing trade against them all year

It tends to crab between 6-9.
Even if I'm wrong, I can farm yield at what is effectively a 20-30% rate per year, giving me a free position after 3-5 years. There is interest in uranium too, so I should have good exit liquidity. Long CCs are so comfy.

>This will be the hardest time to hang on in this mega bull market. Interest rate tightening with the Fed causing an export of inflation as dollar stays relatively strong. Gold rises in all other currencies as dollar holds up better. Contrary to many beliefs, the current monetary system will break on the back of a strong dollar. How gold reacts will be hard to time. Better to ride it out and add on weakness. 2 maybe 3 more rate hikes as system breaks from usd strong while fx and euro get hit with the brunt of the price rises. Fed then steps in as the anointed savior . Even though they have willingly caused the problem to position themselves to introduce their solution. This all happening as pm's gyrate around waiting for the green light to launch. Very difficult to trade . Find your quality juniors and add on the dips. News/drills could also cancel out much of any weakness and valuations could/should rise despite short term metals sentiment. As you can see too many moving parts to jump in and out and risk being left behind. A digital FED currency(to track all transactions) will be their ultimate goal.Having physical out of the system is advisable as well. I'm staying long.

Haven't studied them closely but I'm a bit wary about their PEA because if the project is really that good then why did they get to buy it so cheap? They got it only a few years back for cheap right? Assuming that's how their stock went parabolical in 2020. Actual costs are probably going to be a lot higher than in the study which is why they had to do the raise.
Also while I like the strategy of using contractor mining and toll milling giving extreme leverage, I don't trust the CEO simply because I don't believe he has any/much mining experience. Too many mismanaged mining companies, you have to go for mgmt with track records.

>Yeah. CEO.ca is already entertaining the idea of a class action suit, lol
lol indeed, probably not going to go anywhere. PEAs are often very inaccurate and they aren't supposed to be relied on either. Even a FS can be way off without mgmt getting sued normally. Third parties do the studies. But I don't doubt investors are unhappy looking at the stock price lol.
>>49537363
Yes they use toll milling. That doesn't give you a lower AISC, but a higher one because the owner of the mill want a profit. It lowers your initial capital expenditure though. And I suppose it can be cheaper if the toll mill is very large and efficient and the mill you would have built was a small one.

>> No.49537610

>>49537320
If the results are good I think they will get a nice pump but the capital raise is almost an admission that it's not going to be great. Their production is also very low in the early years right, like 10koz or something? Operations like that are almost never low cost, especially when they have contractor mining and toll milling. The real test will be when they ramp up in a few years to 50koz or whatever it is.
If they can't make money in the early years with low production then that's just another reason not to trust the mgmt because then they shouldn't have begun mining obviously and waited for the permit or what they need to ramp up.

>> No.49537946

>>49535673
What bull case is left? They’re literally hemorrhaging money until they get into production, they don’t even have their permit amendment completed, their ASIC is like 1800, list goes on. The original bull case was that they’d find bonanza drill results and have million + oz of provable resource. The cope currently is their mediocre prior drill results are just the tip. The big poo himself, Rana, has said the mine wouldn’t be profitable if gold fell below 1800/oz. Either gold explodes upwards and they expand their resource, or blue lagoon continues to circle the drain. It needs BOTH of those things to happen.

>> No.49538725

Also it just makes sense, people only got a clear direction on the rate hike plan a few weeks ago, the time to act was when it became obvious that the Fed lacked the balls to raise rates past like 2%. Recently I've added on some GDXJ and URNM.
Like I said, it's a matter of time how this plays out now.
I spent the last few years building an understanding of global markets and finance and I'm acting on pure rationality. I also plan to pick up a btc or 20 when they crash to 3 figs (or even 2 figs). I already hear you laughing and that's how I know it will hit 3 figs.

The first 20 minutes of this presentation basically makes the case that Russian crude oil production is going to go off line for decades.
>All the pipelines going to europe through ukraine and belarus are fated to go kaput
>Ports which oil is shipped operating at 20-50% capacity
>Most russian oil wells in permafrost
>If oil stops being shipped and pressure builds up in the pipes, the oil in the pipes will literally freeze and make the pipes unusable meaning the entire pipe will have to be redrilled.
>This happened in 1992 and it took russia like until 2020 to get back the pre soviet collapse production they had.
