Boomers continue to fuck up the housing market. By giving their kids money for down payments and mortgages, they are inadvertently inflating prices in the housing market.
I personally know several examples of this:
>Friend had super rich parents, they bought him a $500,000 house in Virginia, he basically pays for the property taxes and maintenance
>Former manager. Her parents bought her an $800,000 house near San Jose CA. This was back in 2016, it's probably worth $2 Million now.
>A cousin of mine: she's a liberal shithead commie professor, and her parents are wealthier than mine. Literally bought her a two-family house, which she rents out the other side to students in her college town. She keeps all the rental income because she makes jack shit as an adjunct liberal arts professor. Her fucking dad even hires contractors to do repairs so she doesn't have to pay for them.
>A girl I dated lived in Los Angeles, her parents bought her a condo in the downtown area for like $600,000. She made like $50k/year, and would complain about having to pay the $600/month HOA fee (which of course included a roof top pool).
