$5 is unrealistic, it wasn't that low even pre-fagpox.

I usually short memestocks but I am hesitant to do it with SIGA. There is real growth in the share value from tecovirimat sales. Probably not enough to justify the quadrupled mcap of the company. But the cases are real and the company will profit.

The play is probably to sell calls with $10 or $15 strike, but it would require actual analysis to determine how many sales the company makes and to what real mcap that translates to, it would require familiarity with the sector to predict any risk that they get bought out. I don't do that, I just short P&D memes like SPRT and ESSC and BBIG. So I'm hesitant to short SIGA.

I'm the same anon with the TA, just moved to my desktop from my phone. Larry McMillian, the guy who literally wrote the book on options, uses the 200 day MA and 20 day MA as a VIX buy indicator. He says, when the 20 day MA is above the 200 MA and when VIX is above both its a buy signal. On Tuesday it was above the 200 and almost above the 20. Now its just at unprecedented low levels (relative to those MA figures). So buying here is a bit premature per Larry's indicators but I think we need to be a bit more aggressive in this situation. He's a conservative boomer/silent generation guy but yea this VIX dump cant last. It's just a matter of when it pops and if we get killed by the theta decay. Also I did find out there was a lawsuit alleging manipulation of the VIX by the CBOE. It was thrown out, but i think we are seeing why there was a suit brought up in ther first place.
