Do things like reward yourself preiodically with a neat coin you like and keep a ratio of 1 oz gold to 100oz silver.

say you get to 50oz and buy a neat collectors coin or something. for example im going to order an admiral gardners shipwreck east india coin soon. not very valuable in itself but I think its kind of cool.

How can we answer that, I know people that will spend $75k on a trinket. They carry $20k cash daily if they find something if interest. As a trinket, it's up to you how much you want to pay. Today a 1oz silver roo is going for $36 in rural NSW. There's a yardstick for you to make your decision.

Then it sounds like you may be deeply invested in this, with a long term goal like that. It also sounds like you are more interested in the numismatic side of things, is that right? How long have you been doing this?

I would get a few coin reference books, there is Australia specific ones, A few test kits and depending on your budget a Sigma Metalytics Precious Metal Verifier.

If your looking to become a trader in the event of a collapse, you should have all the above at your disposal and a wide array of odd coins as a weight/feel/sound/visual reference.

With that in mind, exchanging fiat for any pm coin in regards to your end goal is a part of the plan. The peniwise silver eagle isn't really a trinket then. It's an investment in A- silver content and B- your knowledge base.

You want to expand your knowledge as much as you can to protect yourself.

Broadly speaking, there are two kinds of fakes: coins that are pretending to be something rare with numismatic value but are really not; and coins that are pretending to be made of some specific amount of a PM but are not. If your concern is the first, a reference collection might be the answer, but I am CERTAIN that the numismatic folks (of which there are many) have gone on at length about how to avoid fakes of the numismatic type. Listen to them. As for the second type, fake bullion content, you would be better off spending the money you were going to spend on the reference collection on a sigma machine.

And if you catch somebody trying to sell you a counterfeit coin, give them the Isaac Newton.

You'd probably enjoy something like a silver Tetradrachm of Alexander the great, generally 16-17 grams each so they're chunky and appealing. Lots of ancient coins are surprisingly small which will catch you off guard if not used to ancients. Many Alexander tetradrachms were minted so they're widely available and affordable, often under $200 if you shop around. If you want a Roman coin I recommend a big chunky brass sestertius like pic, they're 20+ grams and more impressive to hold than a dime sized denarius

There's too much demand from millennials looking to buy their first homes, and too little supply - controlled by the powers that be who will not benefit from price reduction in housing. I agree. The ultimate resolution of the bond market bubble is cash being printed to pay off the debts and that very cash buying up everything else in the world. I think we are at the end of this cycle. I bought a shitload of PMs in 2008 and it was a bad move move because it scared me away from the stock market bull run.
I don't think that will happen this time, mostly due to geo-political events that have just taken place. The time to brace for a hard impact is rapidly approaching.

If I could give you a different perspective to look at it, you are already paying rent right? And seem to have enough of it to play on the financial markets a bit.
Which means your bank will happily agree to give you a loan, couple hundred k, to buy a house qith and pay back over the next 10/20years.
I dont like being in debt to those banking kikes either, but paying rent is retarded in my opinion, since I'd rather pay off the loan with that money.
That's how I got my 2nd place, rented it out and the rent income will have paid back the loan for it in 10 years.

Gold and silver are not inflation hedges they have been replaced by digital gold BTC.

We aren't living in the 70s anymore. People aren't interested in gold and silver as a store of value, and a critical mass of adoption is unlikely to ever happen again. Society is not collapsing, but actually improving around the world due to rapid technological innovation.

Boomer rocks gonna collect dust until the boomer dies and then their children will sell them to fund their metaverse NFT fashion brand. This will continue all the way until value is aligned with the raw material efficient value of manufacturing use cases. Ohamyoon,
Silver continued to do what it does, there was a whale coming in lately buying some millions worth of PMs, and those vaults are still a-drainin' as anons and now whales and governments are buying like crazy.
Someone said his silver krugs would be milking, but in general both krugs are nice.
We're in a stage where an oz of silver is worth 4 cans of premium soda in the US. They can't keep this shit up much longer, either the white house changes the definition of "precious metals" (lol) or the ratio corrects (lmao even).
Stick to your plan, do NOT sell it for FIAT. Once inflation tickles and some whale wants to shed a property with a house and is sick of calculating the trillions of USD/Euros/Mongolian Tögrög, you come along and offer him 3 ozt of Gold and a kilo Silver.

>What would you do if Gold goes to 10000 USD per oz, and silver jumps to 1000 USD per oz.

Pay off all debts and the mortgage, buy quality land in the country, and buy land with mineral rights over shallow coal seams for personal use if St Angelo's "Energy Cliff" collapse happens. I'd also buy land and stake claims with desirable carving stone for deriving an income from. I'd like to get into the business of quarrying and selling alabaster, soapstone, and quality argillite (like red Catlinite, the famed Indian Pipestone). Maybe find a graphite and garnet outcrop to mine specimens like pic from. Not as sexy as having a gold mine but I have a decent understanding the process and the niche markets and enjoy that sort of honest hard work. PMs will probably just crab forever but a man can dream.

When it comes to precious metals, not only do we have all of history to support our claims that they will return as money when the inevitable monetary crisis comes to a head, but we also have hard evidence and testimonies right now revealing that the precious metals market is rigged to timbuktu AND central banks around the world are accumulating gold, not crypto. Precious metals are cheap right now, and they will stay cheap for some time. The trouble with buying low and selling high is, of course, the buying low part. You're too cowardly to do that and will cling to your crypto cope.

We don't need the BRICS to save the world. We just need them to kill off the dollar. And that they are able and anxious to do.

Indian government is retarded. Indian people, on the other hand, own something like 20,000 TONS of gold. They stand to gain tremendously by remonetization of gold.

China and Russia, for all their problems, own very large quantities of gold and are the world's largest producers. The fact that they have other economic problems only makes it more likely that they will resort to gold. That's why the G7 faggots tried to slow it down with a ban on the sale of Russian gold.

China sanctions are on deck and they know it. That's why they stopped buying US bonds and are instead investing their stack of dollars in hard assets. Which, by the way, is one reason the Fed will not be able to control inflation. There are more than two trillion dollars floating loose in foreign hands, starting to pour back into the USA. What is just a stream now will become a torrent.

You listen to too much Western political bullshit and media reports and miss the real story. Remember, your government lies to you whenever it is slightly convenient and the media is totally complicit. There is a global economic collapse and restructuring coming fast and as fiat money evaporate, PMs will remain standing. As they always have.

This slave money scheme has been going for a long, long time, and the manipulation of precious metals has gone of for decades as well. Many of us were born into this debt slavery system, but it's coming to an end. Even if it's two years, even if it's ten years, we're much closer to the end than the beginning.

So precious metals don't pay you dividends or interest to hold them, which seems to be why so many people think they're irrelevant. Because of this, the only time the price matters to you is when you trade/sell them. If we understand that the market is rigged, and that rigging will end some day, then it would be foolish to ever trade your hard money for govt paper while the manipulation is still on.
Am I making sense? I'm not going to sell a single ounce until silver is at least $125 (in todays dollars). I may check the price now and again when I'm ready to acoooomulate more, but nobody should be checking it five times a day, like "did it moon yet? did it moon yet?"
Just take care of yourself, accumulate when you're able to do so, and stop checking the price so often if it's affecting you this badly. You'll know when it's time, the whole world will be talking about it.
