Then how is it a VC scam? Dutch auction buyers got something like a 90% buyback offer on 50 million ALGO in 2020 and most other ALGOs are distributed as rewards/grants or sold OTC by the Foundation. The DeFi space is, naturally, crawling with VCs since TEAL smart contract auditing is extremely niche, therefore extremely expensive. Some projects are definitely more egregious than others in this respect, but I’m not really in Algorand for boiler plate DeFi anyway. Algorand Inc. comprises some of the brightest minds in the field of cryptography and applied mathematics, and major entities are taking notice. The Bank of Italy has studied Algorand’s tech in a greater study pertaining to how DLTs can be directly integrated with the current European financial system, FIFA hand-picked Algorand to be their chief blockchain partner, and multiple nation-scale collaborations haven’t even been revealed yet. You’re here to get rich quick in the ETH DeFi Pyramid Scheme, I’m here to secure generational wealth by 2030.
