You can probably use them, so long as what you're buying is <= 300 euros, and then you would get 200+ euros in change. But I don't even know where you would get such large bank notes. The ATMs only had out 50, 20, 10, and 5 euro notes. And there are no tellers in banks, they're all been replaced by ATMs for "security" reasons. So you get what the ATM gives you, and that's that. The only way I know of to get those 500 euros bank notes is maybe a place like Comptoir des Tuileries (www.cdt.fr) where you can exchange bank notes for other bank notes or currencies (but not precious metals, those you can only buy with credit/debit card or bank transfer). So basically there are no bills above 50 euros in circulation here.
Also that CDT place seems to have decent prices on "semeuse" coins (83.5% silver content), so I might swing by there next time I'm in the area. Unfortunately it seems like they're perpetually out of Hercules, and other shops are overpriced, so I'll probably never get any of those. You make over $6k a day? I think you're misunderstanding what a dollar represents. That morgan dollar is a real dollar. The fiat paper has been devalued to the point where the paper is worth less and less when traded against the real dollar(Morgan). Without numismatic premium fuckery of specifically Morgans, you're looking at around $25 per .77toz US Sovereign silver dollar. The money is still worth exactly what it was, the fiat dollar just trades weaker against it. So, if you take home $400/day today, you'd be making 20 "of those fuckers" a day in the past. Granted, what most all of us say in here is that the price is suppressed due to actual supply constraints, so you may well actually be making much less than 20/day if we were to revert back to a PM standard.

Yeah especially the based dragon silver, the older rectangular samurai silver is surprisingly affordable tho, I bought a few for my weeb youngest brother a while back. My handful of 50 sens was actually slightly under spot including shipping from Japan, but that was in 2018 when the PM scene was still sleeping.

On eBay some Meiji are around 150-200 for late 1800s coins. I have no idea how much silver is actually in the coin but the historical aspect is interesting.

May have landed a small jackpot numisfags. Where do you buy those vidya from?
3 of the coins, including the samurai coin, were from a giveaway. The three 50 sen I bought are 0.3438 ASW and I bought them for $9 total. The sex 100 yen I bought were $14 total and 0.5556 ASW. A bit much but I also got a bit for free, and I felt a bit dirty not buying something too.
