I started in 2017 but lost my entire net worth in 2018 due to nano and other bad trades. Painful lesson learned but I agree with the rest that you have to earn your stripes in crypto by getting rekt.

I took a small break into 2019 then started stacking again into 2020. During the bull I was highly leveraged using Aave which I would not recommend. Another lesson learned there. All I do during bears is DCA.

I sold most of my stack (including my LINK) in late jan 2022 after the 50% retrace. Poor timing on my part but I paid off my house, however it left me with only 2000 LINK, 250 ETH, and the 10 BTC. Oh and the FTM, but that’s stuck in their lending dapp and I can’t sell it.

Anyways I’ve been DCAing like crazy since Feb with nearly all my paycheck, and have managed to accumulate back more LINK than ever and I’m almost back to my original GRT purchase which was 100k.

In my opinion bears are for accumulating solid projects you know won’t be fading away and building a base with those. So BTC, ETH, LINK, GRT, MATIC, UNI, AAVE, SNX. Perhaps some of the layer 2s…maybe Cosmos … you get the idea.

During the next bull (around 2024) is when the next moonshots will appear. In my opinion they haven’t been formed yet. I don’t know if it’s gonna be dog money again or what. But I think they don’t exist at the moment.

This comes from the combined salaries of my wife and I, as well as bonuses. I also converted some of my remaining crypto to LINK.

All in all I think it’s fair to say I’ve invested 50k of real wage money into LINK since February 2022.
