True. If the fed raises interest rates too high then it creates a deflationary feedback loop. US government will have higher interest payments on it's debt, it's tax receipts will be lower since the price of housing and capital is lower. It will be forced to either cut spending or raise taxes, which will lead to even lower asset prices and in turn lower tax receipts. it's a vicious cycle
