if there is a major bug or the network becomes comprimised beyond saving. hacks where someone gets a private key or steals a bunch of funds only matter in the short term and dont count as failure. bitcoin has already succeeded at being better money than gold.

just take 5 seconds and look at the properties of money and ask your self whether or not bitcoin does a better job than gold.
