Hell depending on how much impact (boost) the pending state income tax cut and pending salary bump I get I may hike my 401k contributions yet again come july another 10% after I just did a 10% hike for 2023. Right now it's an odd ball number so this further 10% would round it off. Then I'd cap it there till retirement time hit. But I dunno may leave it alone. I'm already good money wise for retirement (96% covered according to the planning tools on both e-trade and my 401k's site). I'm not worried about my debt nor "shat happens" things. Hell we spent 3500 on fast food alone in 2022 according to quicken. Which 3000 would almost cover the "shat happens" things by itself. So basically cut out the fast food and both the debt and other things would be a done deal in 2 years.

Also when I was in public accounting I worked on an elderly Jews stuff where he used to own a large local furniture store way back in the day before I was born. It takes awhile for recessions to pinch corporate earnings. Right now the S&P is forward looking to corporate earnings increasing at a brisk rate each year. But we're seeing massive cost of debt increases, tight labour market to cause wage demand spirals, with a higher for longer mantra that will choke off burn-your-cash growth. The deals are yet to come. I'd say 350 was close to a first giga-long slurp. I'm looking pre-covid high to slurp a gigalong.
