Hell depending on how much impact (boost) the pending state income tax cut and pending salary bump I get I may hike my 401k contributions yet again come july another 10% after I just did a 10% hike for 2023. Right now it's an odd ball number so this further 10% would round it off. Then I'd cap it there till retirement time hit. But I dunno may leave it alone. I'm already good money wise for retirement (96% covered according to the planning tools on both e-trade and my 401k's site). I'm not worried about my debt nor "shat happens" things. Hell we spent 3500 on fast food alone in 2022 according to quicken. Which 3000 would almost cover the "shat happens" things by itself. So basically cut out the fast food and both the debt and other things would be a done deal in 2 years.

Also when I was in public accounting I worked on an elderly Jews stuff where he used to own a large local furniture store way back in the day before I was born. Then when he sold the furniture business, he also bought a bunch of art work and the corp that used to be the furniture store now owned a bunch of pottery and stuff in galleries. Not really sure what the tax advantage was to that because it was a C Corp. But yea let's just say the cost basis info on those pottery sales were questionable at best

Market makers want the line to close above the red lines and below the green lines. For this chart that average number is 400.
Idk if they can actually move the market but they probably have enough money to manipulate it a little bit

However they still probably make money anywhere on this chart, just because there are so many option buyers on both sides. Even at 390, ALL of the calls expire worthless, and most of the puts expire worthless.

Mumus. Good evening. Just informing you, as a public service, of something known as the "Sell Button" that you may have access to. On brokers not named Robin Hood, this can be found in the UI near or immediately next to "Buy Button" which you are no doubt familiar with. The "Sell Button" can reduce your losses by locking in your price on investments likely to depreciate further in value, such as US long-term treasury bonds and broad market equities (to name a few at this time). Proper use of this button is an advanced, but vital, component of a profitable investment strategy.

As the stock market soared to new highs, John couldn't help but feel excited about the potential gains he could make. He had been diligently saving and investing for years, and he was finally starting to see the fruits of his labor.

However, as John tuned in to the latest financial news, he was shocked to hear that the Federal Reserve was considering raising interest rates. He knew that this could potentially tank the stock market and wipe out his hard-earned gains.

Determined to do something about it, John sat down at his desk and began to draft a letter to Fed Chairman Jerome Powell. He knew he had to convince Powell not to raise interest rates any further.

"Dear Chairman Powell," John began, "I am writing to implore you not to raise interest rates any further. As a small investor, I have seen firsthand the impact that changes in interest rates can have on the stock market. The potential for my gains to be wiped out is a very real and frightening possibility."

John went on to explain how the stock market had become a vital part of his financial plan, and how the prospect of losing his gains was causing him great stress and anxiety. He begged Powell to consider the impact that raising interest rates would have on individual investors like himself.

"I understand that the Federal Reserve has a mandate to promote a healthy economy and financial system, but I beg you to consider the impact that your decisions have on everyday Americans like myself," John wrote. "Please do not raise interest rates any further and risk turning me into a pink wojack."

Feeling satisfied with his letter, John hit "send" and hoped for the best. He knew he couldn't control the Fed's decisions, but he had to at least try to make his voice heard.

That depends. Will you keep your job? Will relevant industries remain in your neighborhood? Will a hurricane hit and flood/knock down your property? (I'm guessing from the palm tree & price that this is a possibility).

Fun fact by the way. 20% down payment is 5x leverage. Which means, that if your house loses 20% of its value. Then you lose 100% of your equity! Isn't the market fun?
