they only give a response in business days and its normally 5-7 days.

If they are desperate, it might be 2-3 days.

I applied at 30+ jobs in a week though and only had 3 call backs saying " thanks, but no thanks :)" and emails doing the same. Keep doing the shotgun method, you'll get an interview and offer, took me 1 month to find a job, and size up two offers and took the better deal.
