Why the Hell would you have a 650 dollar car payment? Also are you eating lobster daily or something why is your food so much? Those are your 2 biggest issues.

the payment is 400 the insurance is 250. i need a car during the chip shortage i kinda bought the top of cars

>> No.53487376

Spending 650 a month on a car is not normal. You could have bought something for 5-10k and just spend 100 to on insurance. That would give you 550 extra a month to pay off your mortgage faster and reducing your monthly mortgage payments. That would snowball your spending room each month. Now you're stuck, all because you needed the newest car and the better home. You disgust me.

i was just laughing at how much i disgust you. 5-10 years from now my car will be paid off and my house value will have doubled so i'm not worried. I can keep breaking even until then and if i fall behind i'll just get a credit card. don't be so dramatic

10 years to pay your car of? That's whats, a 40k car? And your home price will likely go down like 50% in value if you bought it recently, were at the top of the market right now. You have no room to do any nice things like holiday, only if you go into more debt. Which would leave you even less room to pay off anything faster to give you more spending room. Is this the American dream? So confused. You are not building wealth this way. The only way you hope to build wealth is by selling your home, and that only works if you buy something half the size after that.

you gotta take chances to get rich. after i pay off my car it'll be worth ~25k and if my house doubles by then i'll have 6 figures. its easy.

>> No.53487746

>half of his take home pay going to housing

You got too much home anon, it's called being house poor. When the water heater or HVAC inevitably goes out you're going to be fucked because you got no margin in your budget to save for a rainy day. You need to downgrade to something closer to 25% of your monthy after tax pay.

I take home over 5k a month and bought a 2022 jeep grand Cherokee in February. Insurance is $450 for 6 months, probably less when it comes due this time around. My mortgage is only $1550, internet $80, phone $75. Just paid off my 2nd motorcycle in December and have $1700 left on my only credit card. $31k left on the jeep which should take a year and a half. Considering getting a room mate again since I could probably charge $750 since it's a nice basement in a quiet neighborhood. Things to think about

1) sell your car and walk to work. if you don't live 5 mins to your work then sell and move: +$650
2) seek government forgiveness for your loan: +$175
3) cancel all subs just pirate movies: +$100

now you are making $750+ invest in SPY 100%. You will retire in 30 years easy.

You are late asking your question OP. I was asking this question 7 years ago. Unfortunately it took me till a few months ago to realize NOPE, no one cares. QoL is not an economic indicator so the suits will continue dumpstering it until people revolt (which won't ever happen because nothing happens).

Yikes you fell for the meme. Does your bitch of a wife really need a 40k car (that will en up costing you 60k) to drive around in the city?
This is why men stay poor, they are too cucked to say no to their bitch wives
